Self Adhesive Container Vinyl is formulated to adhere to industrial substrates coated with anti-corrosion primers, epoxy paints, and aged alkyd enamels commonly found on intermodal containers. Manufactured by Shanghai Hanker Industrial Co., Ltd., DPI Container Grade utilizes a cross-linked acrylic adhesive that resists plasticizer migration from container sealants and anti-graffiti topcoats.
The film thickness (120μm) absorbs minor impact scratches and stone peck encountered during stacking and transport. Unlike promotional vehicle vinyl, Container Vinyl is tested for adhesion to surfaces contaminated with diesel exhaust particulates and road film without requiring solvent wiping. It facilitates container pooling compliance and fleet identification across rail and maritime logistics.

To enhance the influence and market share of the DPI brand, we expanded our production base to Nanhuating Industrial Park in Fengxian District, Shanghai. The facility covers 25,000 square meters and employs over 160 people, equipped with modern production workshops and advanced equipment including silicone coating machines, laminating machines, and automated punching machines.
2016
New Manufacturing Facility in Jiangsu
We established Jiangsu DPI New Materials Co., Ltd. in Qidong, Jiangsu Province, covering 34,000 square meters. This facility is equipped with China's leading calendering machine, high-standard silicon coating machines, and PE coating machines, enabling independent production of raw materials like PVC calendering film and release paper.

Container corner posts and door gaskets emit volatile plasticizers. Standard vinyl adhesive absorbs these, causing gelation and label slip. Container Grade adhesive is formulated to repel phthalate uptake.
Wet Surface Application

Surface Prep Guidelines
Minimum Application Temp
0°C. Adhesive requires thermal activation. Below freezing, bond formation is delayed 48 hours.
Corrugation Overlap
Extend graphic 2 inches beyond corrugation peaks to prevent "tenting" at valleys.
Degreaser Use
Avoid silicone-based cleaners. Use isopropanol/water 50:50. Silicone causes fish-eyes.
Post-Application Cure
Maximum bond strength achieved after 7 days. Avoid high-pressure spray within this window.

Can this vinyl be removed for container re-sale?
Yes, using heat (150°C) and low angle pull. Adhesive is permanent but removable with heat. Solvent adhesive removers may stain epoxy paint.
Does it adhere to "Corroguard" coated containers?
Corroguard (wax-based anti-corrosion coating) is intentionally low-surface-energy. Container Grade adhesive is optimized for this; adhesion is 70% of epoxy bond. 48hr cure required.
Will the vinyl withstand steam cleaning?
Intermittent steam cleaning (80°C, 1000psi) is acceptable. Continuous direct steam on edges may cause lifting.
What is the expected outdoor life?
5-7 years global maritime environment (equatorial sun/salt). Color shift ΔE ≤5 at 5 years.
Is this product IMO 754 fire tested?
Yes, passes IMO FTPC Part 5 for surface flammability. Test reports available upon request.
