Fluorescent Color Cutting Vinyl
Calendered PVC loaded with fluorescent pigments. Excites under UV-A (365-405nm). NFR 90-110% relative brightness.
Product Overview
Fluorescent Color Cutting Vinyl is a specialty PVC film formulated with rare-earth and organic fluorescent pigments. Manufactured by Shanghai Hanker Industrial Co., Ltd., the DPI Fluorescent series achieves 2.5x the chromaticity of conventional process colors under daylight conditions through selective wavelength conversion.
The vinyl matrix stabilizes pigments that typically exhibit poor UV resistance. A doped UV inhibitor system extends active fluorescence life while preventing pigment bleaching. The material maintains cutter compatibility despite the brittle nature of fluorescent pigment loads, utilizing plasticizer ratios adjusted for frangibility control during weeding.
Product Parameters

Note: Fluorescent pigments are inherently less photostable than conventional pigments. Three-year outdoor durability requires UV-overlaminate. Fluorescence intensity degrades gradually; color shift is minimal.
About Shanghai Hanker Industrial Co., Ltd.
Shanghai Hanker Industrial Co., Ltd. is China Fluorescent Color Cutting Vinyl Manufacturers and Wholesale Fluorescent Color Cutting Vinyl Suppliers. With over 20 years of industry experience, we have grown into a fully-integrated enterprise capable of producing a complete range of products across the entire industrial chain.
Company Foundation
Shanghai Hanker Industrial Co., Ltd began preparations in 2004 and was officially registered and established in 2005. The DPI brand was founded in the same year, marking the beginning of our journey in the adhesive materials industry.
Expansion of Production Base
To enhance the influence and market share of the DPI brand, we expanded our production base to Nanhuating Industrial Park in Fengxian District, Shanghai. The facility covers 25,000 square meters and employs over 160 people, equipped with modern production workshops and advanced equipment including silicone coating machines, laminating machines, and automated punching machines.
New Manufacturing Facility in Jiangsu
We established Jiangsu DPI New Materials Co., Ltd. in Qidong, Jiangsu Province, covering 34,000 square meters. This facility is equipped with China's leading calendering machine, high-standard silicon coating machines, and PE coating machines, enabling independent production of raw materials like PVC calendering film and release paper.
Industry Leadership and Innovation
Today, Hanker has developed into a fully-integrated enterprise with comprehensive capabilities across upstream, midstream, and downstream industrial chains. We hold over 65 invention and utility model patents, and our high-quality DPI products are sold to more than 80 countries worldwide.
Certifications & Quality Standards
Environmental Commitment
We actively uphold our environmental protection responsibilities by utilizing advanced RTO equipment, achieving a 99.9% waste gas treatment rate. We encourage full employee participation in environmental practices and support sustainable development through tangible actions.
Product Benefits
Engineering trade-offs between visual impact, longevity, and convertibility.
High-Energy Visibility
Reflects light at wavelengths longer than incident light. Creates perceived glow in twilight conditions. Readable at 2x distance of non-fluorescent colors.
Frangibility Control
Weeding characteristics improved via plasticizer blend. Reduced flagging and pigment pull-out around fine serifs.
Stabilized Chroma
HALS (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer) package slows triplet-state quenching. Color shift ΔE <3 at 50% fluorescence decay point.
Product Features
Specific to safety, promotion, and event applications requiring high conspicuity.
- Full-Body Pigment: Color throughout thickness; scratches remain fluorescent.
- Non-Migratory Dyes: Reduced bleed into vinyl and adhesive.
- Low-Temperature Tacking: Adhesive activates at 10°C.
- Pantone Matching: Formulated to PMS 800-900 series fluorescent standards.
- Eco-Solvent Receptive: No blocking after printing and rewinding.
Product Applications
Industries requiring attention capture or UV-reactive effects.
Construction Site Signage
OSHA-style hazard alerts and barricade tapes. Fluorescent orange/lime for pedestrian diversion.
- Temporary Fencing: High visibility day and night.
Event & Festival Branding
Music festival signage, race bib numbers, and neon wayfinding. UV activation enhances night-time experience.
- Neon Pop: Blacklight reactive zones.
Recreational Equipment
Helmet decals, paddleboard identification, kayak registration numbers. Remains visible in low-light water conditions.
Handling Constraints
Cold Weeding
Pigment load increases frangibility. Warm to 25°C before weeding fine copy.
Blade Selection
60° blade recommended. Standard 45° blades cause edge feathering.
Overlaminate Choice
Use gloss laminate. Matte laminate diffuses emitted light, reducing fluorescence intensity by 25-30%.
Storage
Ambient light exposure reduces shelf fluorescence. Store in opaque bags.
Frequently Asked Questions
Fading, cutting, and color matching questions specific to fluorescent media.
Fluorescence involves high-energy photon conversion. This energy state accelerates dye breakdown. Rated at 1-2 years outdoor unlaminted vs. 5-7 years for standard colors.
Yes. White ink blocks fluorescence. Recommended if you need a non-fluorescent zone; otherwise print without white to preserve glow.
Fluorescent pigments disrupt cast film formation. Calendered extrusion is the current manufacturing method. Conformability is lower than cast film; not recommended for compound curves.
Yes. Each air-surface interface reduces light transmission. Gloss overlaminate reduces intensity by 5-8%. Use UV-stabilized laminate to offset intensity loss with longevity gain.
Rhodamine-based dyes shift toward magenta as they fade. Newer formulations use quinacridone pigments with lower color shift but lower initial brightness.
