Ink Curing & Outgassing
Allow prints to fully outgas for 24-48 hours before lamination or application. Solvent inks release gases that can cause bubbling if trapped.
Application Fluid Use
A light slip solution is highly recommended for large window applications to allow repositioning and to work out air bubbles through the perforations.
Trimming & Seaming
When seaming multiple panels on a large window, overlap panels on a solid area (not over perforations) and double-cut for a seamless look.

How does visibility compare from the inside vs. the outside?
From the inside looking out, visibility is approximately 70%, similar to a fine mesh screen. Details are clear, but light is slightly diffused. From the outside looking in during daylight, the printed graphic appears solid and opaque. At night, if the interior is brighter than the exterior, the graphic may become semi-transparent, revealing shapes and lights inside.
Can I laminate this material after printing?
Yes, laminating is recommended for exterior vehicle applications to add scratch and UV protection. Use a laminate compatible with solvent inks and ensure the print is fully cured (outgassed) before laminating to prevent bubbles. Cast laminates are preferred for their clarity and conformability.
Is it legal to apply this film to vehicle windows?
Laws vary by region and vehicle type (commercial vs. private). Generally, application to side and rear windows of commercial vehicles (buses, vans) is permitted. Application to the driver's side front window and windshield is almost always illegal. It is the installer's responsibility to check and comply with local Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
How do I handle the perforations during weeding and application?
Weeding (removing excess material from around cut letters) requires care. Weed slowly at a sharp angle to avoid stretching or tearing the mesh. What happens if it rains shortly after application?
The adhesive is water-resistant but requires time to achieve full bond strength. Exposure to heavy rain within the first 24-48 hours can compromise adhesion, especially at the edges.
